1. Brace the model in a bench vice. use the vice to grip a brass rod, and drill a hole in the head or torso and attach to the brass rod with a touch of super glue. So you can break it off later. The idea is to let the vice be your 3rd hand.
2. Here you can see i've blobbed on a lump of greenstuff using a sculpting tool. Make sure the tool is wet so the g/s doesn't stick. Water, cooking oil, vaseline etc are good for this.
3. Very thin rolled out sausage stuck under the nose. Its at this point you'll be thanking me for the pin vice trick, as this is rather fiddly and sticky.
4. I've rolled out a long sausage of greenstuff and folded it in half and then twirled it together, then added this to head.
5. Repeat stage 4, to add more braids. Start to shape them and add direction.
6. Added some hair to the front, and tweaked it to create a centre parting. Added hair to the back and using a wet knife carefully added direction to it with long slices. Added finishing touches to the end of the braids, just a tiny blob with lines cut into it. Once again use a wet blade.
